ITGuy now consists of 10 employees.
As part of the company’s continued development, a project manager is hired to support growth and structure across ITGuy’s departments.
ITGuy participates, together with colleagues from the IT industry, in the Counter-Strike tournament “Det ik’ for sjov” (“It’s not for fun”) and wins the title “Most supportive and high-spirited team” two years in a row.
The same year, ITGuy becomes one of the first 100 companies in Denmark to achieve the D-Mærket—Denmark’s certification for IT security and responsible data handling.
ITGuy is approved as a training company and hires its first IT technician apprentice.
The same year, ITGuy receives its first Gazelle Award and participates in the award ceremony hosted by Børsen.
The following year, the company receives another Gazelle Award.
ITGuy moves to larger premises in Hillerød and acquires the company Service365, adding three new employees.
The company sharpens its focus on business customers, and shortly after hires another employee—bringing the team to 5 people.
Lasse begins working full-time in ITGuy and sets up his first office in Helsinge.
This is where the foundation of the company is built: products and services, supplier agreements, website, and operations.
That same year, ITGuy becomes part of CoworkIT.
ITGuy is converted into a private limited company (ApS) in the summer of 2015.
Lasse continues working at Cirque, which is acquired the same year by TDC. The company experiences steady growth, with new customers primarily coming through recommendations.
In 2015, ITGuy also starts a Christmas tradition of sending gifts to customers—this year in the form of a chocolate bar with the ITGuy logo.
ITGuy is founded in spring 2014 as a sole proprietorship by IT consultant Lasse Bloch Holmsgaard.
In the beginning, ITGuy is run as a part-time project alongside Lasse’s full-time job at Cirque, where he worked with telephony and Teams solutions.
The motivation behind ITGuy was the desire for closer dialogue with customers, dedicated points of contact, and viewing the customer’s IT solution as a complete whole.
The company grows quickly through personal relationships and recommendations—and the foundation for today’s ITGuy is established.
